Barbie 1994 Dolls of the World Gift Set (3 Dolls) Limited Edition Set

Limited Edition Dolls of the World Gift Set. This is the second edition set (only three sets were issued) and was released in 1994. Featuring an Irish Barbie, German Barbie and Polynesian Barbie. Irish Barbie wears an authentic replica of a traditional Irish dress. The green cotton dress has three-quarter sleeves and a full skirt. Panels of white ‘Irish’ lace run down the skirt and edge her sleeves. Her fitted bodice is also edged in lace that drapes down the front. Her long red hair is worn loose and is capped by a delicate lace cap. Tiny golden earrings match her lucky shamrock brooch at her neck. German Barbie wears a traditional Black Forest folk outfit. She is wearing a long-sleeved blouse with blue sleeves, white ruffled cuffs and a black bodice. Golden braid criss-crosses the bodice front and a tiny red silk flower is tucked in the top. Her full red skirt has two bands of black ribbon near the bottom and is overlaid by a wide, white apron with blue ribbon trim. A white, fringed shawl is draped over her shoulders. White stockings and flat, black shoes complete her authentic German look. Her long platinum blonde hair is parted in the middle and two braids are wrapped in thick circles above each ear. The pale blue ribbons in her braids match the beautiful blue of her eyes. Tiny ‘pearl’ earrings are her only jewelry. Polynesian Barbie wears a traditional Island outfit. Her red and white cotton bandau top has thin shoulder straps and a gathered center. As an ankle length ‘grass’ skirt has a waistband that matches her top. Around her waist is a belt with wooden beads. Her long, dark hair is worn loose and topped with a circlet of silk tropical flowers. She is wearing a matching lei around her neck. Tiny ‘pearl’ earrings and a matching ring complete her tropical island ensemble. The set comes with three labeled doll stands and a hair brush
