- HIGHLY CUSTOMIZABLE PLASTIC STAY – Mold thermoplastic to your unique hand shape to limit movement of the thumb, wrist and forearm. The plastic insert surrounds the thumb and wrist more effectively than a thin metal stay so they can rest to heal. Insert is encased in an extra soft padded pocket for added comfort.
- (3) STABILIZER LENGTHS TO CHOOSE FROM – Short (5 – 6” in length) and Mid (7 – 8” in length) for Indications - Thumb sprains, strains, arthritis, tendonitis, ligament injuries and joint fractures. Long (8 ½ - 9 ½” in length) with additional Indications for - de Quervain’s, tenosynovitis and wrist related arthritis, tendonitis and joint fractures. Length of plastic stay is dependent on length of splint. See the image displaying the measurement chart to choose correct size.
- MAXIMUM HAND FUNCTION WITH MAXIMUM THUMB IMMOBILIZATION – A less cumbersome open palm design allows for full finger mobility to perform daily activities while insert Isolates and limits thumb movement to help hold the thumb in place. Choose the hot water molding method for a removable stay or the microwave instructions to permanently adhere stay to brace. Instructions included.
- SUPPORTS AND PROTECTS – Trim Thumb strap length to wrap only around the IP thumb joint or leave as is to continue wrapping further down toward the MP thumb joint. Combined with the rigid plastic stay, the brace can protect against painful bumps and help provide support to prevent overuse injuries.
- LIGHTWEIGHT, BREATHABLE, INTENTIONAL COMFORT - Edges of thumb splint in contact with skin are free of stitching or excess bulky edging material for a softer, more gentle contact with skin to help avoid skin irritation. Made of thin, 1/16" (1.6mm) lightweight perforated neoprene with a soft terry cloth liner for comfort and to help absorb excess moisture. Does not contain natural rubber latex. Washing instructions – Hand wash in cool water with mild detergent and air dry.
