The Stihl square mower line is a cutting line specially developed for use in demanding environments and difficult cutting work. The square cross section of the thread offers some advantages over the standard round cord. Thanks to the square cross section, the mowing performance is increased by about 10%, while the durability is also approx. 10%. Compared to the standard round line, the working noise seems to be more "aggressive" with the square mower line, and the sound pressure value is very close to the comparable round "quiet" cutting line. To further improve the elasticity and durability of the thread, it is recommended to immerse new cords in water for about 24 hours before first use. The Stihl square trimmer line has an orange colour, a diameter of 2.4 mm and a spool length of 41 m. It is ideal for use in demanding environments and difficult cutting jobs and offers increased mowing performance and durability compared to standard round line.
