Pink Muhly grass is a ornamental grass the provides a beautiful late season color all while remaining low maintenance year round. Who doesn't love a showy plant that is easy to care for? With a moderate growth rate, it is best to plant them in the spring or late fall before the initial frost is expected. This will provide your grass with the greatest opportunity for a long and healthy life. In the summer and spring long shoots of grass are green in color and as fall approaches Muhly grass will quickly fade into a pink or pinkish red hue like cotton candy! The plumes remain beautiful and offer wonderful visual appeal throughout its dormancy. Aside from occasional pruning every few years these full-size ornamental grasses require almost no effort to keep looking great. Additionally, Muhly grass is not known to attract any pests nor diseases! If you are in USDA zones 6a - 10b, you are in the ideal area of growth for this beautiful grass.
